Projects
My personal photographic projects are ongoing pieces of work, which evolve over time. When they started is immaterial. Are they ever complete? I don’t know….
Chairs - Chairs have stories, they have character, even strength: they are a fitting subject for a portrait series.
Duos - People and objects combined and presented together in thought-provoking juxtaposition.
Industrial Space – Industrial areas and buildings, both in use and abandoned: a reflection on the solidity (or not) of our everyday life.
Lines - Photographs of long, thin, sinuous everyday objects given unexpected and beautiful significance.
Listen To Me, I’m Talking To You… - Why do people communicate, what methods do they use and does anyone listen or pay attention when they do. Or, in fact, does the person communicating even expect them to?
Nests – Photographs of abandoned birds’ nests.
Street - An ongoing series of candid portraits.
Transformation - An ongoing series of photographs of found objects which have been thrown away or lost, items which are considered litter, the detritus and debris of everyday life.
What Comes Between - “What comes between us and things grants them their shine.” – from “Fog Suite” by Mark Doty
Women & Flowers - A continuing exploration of female beauty and how we understand it.
